BILL DAY’S CREATIVE RANGE PART 44

Oh hey, a “new” gun god cartoon. A new shooting, another opportunity to dust off this cartoon and sell it again.  This one’s a bit tricky.  You have to look very closely at the last two to realize I didn’t simply post the same cartoon twice.  Bill Day spent probably less than 20 seconds modifying the lighting and color effects and sent it off.

BILL DAY’S CREATIVE RANGE PART 40

It always comes back to those damn guns.  For a guy who’s every other cartoon is a cartoon on guns, you’d think he’d be skilled at drawing one instead of stealing someone else’s artwork.

BILL DAY’S CREATIVE RANGE PART 31 (Plagiarism Edition)

For those of you who don’t know, Bill Day has been the recipient of an IndieGoGo Campaign to keep him drawing for another year.  Daryl Cagle started the campaign to pay Bill Day $35,000 to draw cartoons full time instead of apparently working in a Bike Shop (GASP! NOT A BIKE SHOP!).  Apparently they’re only $2000 away from their goal with 10 days left to go.

That said, this cartoon is not helping his case.  If donations are going to pay for a guy to photoshop someone else’s work with the addition of a few labels and a tiny drawing, why don’t we just stick with Gorrell who apparently doesn’t even need the bailout.

BILL DAY’S CREATIVE RANGE PART 21

I find it terribly sad that Bill Day feels a tragedy involving 12 fatalities and 58 injured deserves only 2 minutes of his time when creating a cartoon.

BILL DAY’S CREATIVE RANGE PART 17

This is my last post for the day to commemorate Bill Day’s gun control cartoons being featured by Daryl Cagle.  Bill Day’s terrific in using symbolism.  These cartoons show Bill Day’s range in framing an issue such as gun violence.  Bill Day even went out of his comfort zone for the last cartoon, which shows Bill Day can innovate.

BILL DAY’S CREATIVE RANGE PART 16

Bill Day’s being featured by Daryl Cagle for his gun control cartoons.  Cagle says he thinks Bill Day cares more about gun control than any other cartoonist.  Clearly Bill Day cares nearly 4 times as much as Cagle perceives.

BILL DAY’S CREATIVE RANGE PART 15

As I recently posted, Bill Day’s gun control cartoons are being featured by Daryl Cagle.  Bill Day’s brilliant with his metaphors and always knows how to frame an issue and watch it change over time.  Apparently it’s always the same old story.

BILL DAY’S CREATIVE RANGE PART 14

Daryl Cagle recently featured Bill Day’s various cartoons on gun control.  The funny thing is these are all cartoons which seem very very familiar.  I’ve already posted about one of these cartoons here.  Here’s Bill Day’s criticism of Congress for pandering to the NRA, which seems likely to never stop, because Bill Day has been talking about this issue for almost a decade.

BILL DAY’S CREATIVE RANGE PART 7

Bill Day is one of the greatest cartoon advocates for gun control.  He responds to gun violence year after year after year after year with criticism pointing out how bad it is and how gun happy our nation is.  Sadly our nation hasn’t changed for the better so we see the same images of gun violence each year from Bill Day.
